Save – a – Star programme is a unique feature of Morning Star Home Science College where the Management, staff and students find a platform to help their fellow students discreetly. It is a voluntary attempt to give financial support to the needy and deserving students of our college and it has been functioning beautifully and effectively since 1990. The fund is raised through auctions, contributions from PTA, the yearly contributions from teachers as well as the management. Help is given to students in the form of tuition fees, uniforms, textbooks, notebooks, records, medical aids, exam fees, bus fares etc. The selection of students for the project is done discretely by each department by collecting biodata of students in a way that financial background doesn’t affect the study of a bright student.
