Following the 2018 floods, the valuable role of volunteers in emergency response became evident. In response to the lessons learned from the floods, the Hon’ble Chief Minister instructed the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority to create a unified platform for all volunteers and voluntary organizations in the State to collaborate with government officials.

The college has enlisted 22 volunteers to participate in the program. Our students have attended online training sessions. Additionally, during the pandemic, Ms. Dinju Mariya Davis (B.Sc Physics) provided her services at CIAL.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CLUB

• To instill a sense of selfless service in students.
• Train students to rise and respond to emergency situations.
• Provide platforms where students can contribute to helping in crisis situations.
