Young Innovators Program(YIP) is the specially designed flagship program under KDISC  that aims to empower future innovators to innovate new products, services, or solutions to meet the emerging era requirements of the state through an innovative challenge.  This is the largest program of its kind promoting innovation amongst students across Kerala. Young Innovators Program was initiated in Morning Star Home Science College, Angamaly during the academic year 2019-2020. Students from Morning Star Home Science College, Angamaly registered their innovative ideas in the first cycle of the Young Innovators Programme 2020. Al-based diagnosis assistance for low back pain was the idea presented in this program in 2020. A group consisting of five students participated in the idea registration. This idea was selected for the final round. They have also registered a new innovative idea in the second cycle. Virtual martial arts trainer application was the idea presented in the second cycle.
