Ph.D. Programme

Morning Star Home Science College Angamaly is recognized by Mahatma Gandhi University as a Research Centre for Doctoral Research in Home Science. The Centre was inaugurated by Major Archbishop His Eminence Cardinal George Alenchery on 20th July 2018 on the glorious occasion of the Golden Jubilee Finale Celebration of Morning Star Home Science College.

There are two approved research guides who lead the research programme at the centre. Currently, there are two full-time and six part-time research scholars at the centre who pursue their research here. The thrust areas of research are Food Science, Nutrition, Human Development, Family Resource Management, Interior Decoration, Psychology, Textiles and Fashion Designing.
